Goochland Co. Structure Fire
At approx. 2030 hrs 01/31/00, Goochland County, VA Engine companies 3, 1, and 2 and Truck 5 were dispatched to a fire alarm on Old Orchard lane in the Centerville area. 1st unit on scene advised of a 3 story stone structure with heavy smoke and flame extending through the roof on C side, and that neighbors advised of possible persons trapped. E-21, Tanker-36, Attack-2, and E-31 were only apparatus able to make it down the driveway due to it's width and heavy ice and snow conditions. Personnel had to be shuttled in by 4-Wheel-Drive pickups and SUVs. Fortunately, no one was trapped inside. E-21, Attack-2, E-31, E-32, E-11, E-12, Truck-5, Tanker-36, Medic-10 and Chief 2 Responded. Squad-17, Squad-37 responded for air support and rehab. Last unit back in quarters 0054 hrs.
