Village of Mamaroneck, NY Responds to Working Structure Fire February 11, 2000 -- E-38, E-40, E-42 and L-20 responded to a reported fire on the roof of Lum Yen Restaurant, located in the Village of Mamaroneck. Upon arrival Car 2241 reported heavy smoke and fire from the rear of the building. E-38 established water supply, E-40 placed 2 attack lines into operation at the rear of the building, and E-42 placed 1 attack line in service through the front of the building. L-20 crews immediately began ventilation of the roof finding rapid extension through the **** loft. Crews operated at the scene for about 1 1/2 hours. E-41 and L-21 remained in quarters for additional alarms.
