On Friday, March 3, 2000, A 3rd Alarm assignment was used to extinguish a stubborn wind spread fire in a large 2 1/2 story wood frame apartment house at 15 Pendleton Street. Heavy fire condition on first due Engine 9's arrival and balloon frame construction with a strong wind blowing contributed to the fast spread throughout the building. Companies that operated:
