On 3/6/2000 Stations 51,Eagles Mere, and
52 Muncy Valley responded to an remote area of the County on Route 42 between the two towns for a report of a field on fire.Both stations were out for at least an hour as the less than one acre brush fire was extinguished by a gp crew with indian tanks, Tanker 51, 52, brush truck 51, and 52 responded.
On 3/9/2000
Station 52 was dispatched for a still alarm on Rte 220, and again on Rte 42 for trees in the roadway following a wind and lightning storm.
stations 25, Plunketts Creek, and 54 Hillsgrove, responded to Box alarm 25-2, Plunketts creek Twp. Lycoming Co. on the Old barborus Rd. for a report on a Structure Fire, with flames showing second story north side. Upon arrivial Chief 25 report 2 story structure fully involved, and an a call was made to Sta. 53 Forksville for mutual aid tanker and manpower. The Red Cross was also notified. The home was totally destroyed.
Units responding were Eng-25, Tnk-25, Amb-25, Amb-54, Tnk-54, Trk-54, Eng-54, Tnk-53.

At approx. 11:45am Station 57, Dushore was called to the Black Creek Road in Forks Twp. for a small fire in the woods. Trk 57, Eng 57,and Amb 1-57 responded. The fire was contained to an estimated 30 foot area, cause was embers from a controlled burn.
Units were available at 1:00pm.

Forest fire index was High for the week until a rain storm early in this day. Fire Towers in the area are said to have been manned due to effects from the 1998-1999 drought!
