On Friday, March 31st at approx. 1500 hours Salisbury Fire Dept. Station #2 and Headquarters Company were alerted for a Structure Fire. Dispatch advised of numerous calls with fire on the second floor. E210, the first engine on scene confirmed a working fire, with heavy fire and smoke from second floor windows in a balloon frame construction.
Initial attack crews made entry and ascended the stairwell encountering heavy fire and smoke conditions. The 1 1/2 inch attack line was advanced to the seat of the fire and knockdown followed. Searches were negative, however, a dog was able to escape uninjured. Units remained on the scene for extensive overhaul. Last units cleared at 1815 hours.
The fire is believed to have been started by a pot left on the stove.

Units on the scene included E210, E203, E4, E101, Squad 1, Truck 1, Dep. Chief 1, Paramedic 4, and Air-Light 2.
