A fire in a 2 1/2 story wood frame on N. 2nd Street was under control in about 39 minutes. The first alarm companies where Engines 4,5,8,1 Ladders 2 and 3 Squad 1 Battalion 2 and Deputy 1. Upon arriving there were reports of occupants trapped inside the burning structure which quickly prompted a second alarm. Engine 7 and 1 came on the second alarm. Upon the primary search a couple of puppies were found and firefighters brought the puppies to safety. No victims were located in the primary or secondary search. One puppy was pumped with oxygen and brought back to life by firefighters and EMS personnel. See attached news article.
