Two victims were rescued from an early morning apartment fire in Chapel Hill, NC. At 0653 hours the Chapel Hill North carolina Fire Department was dispatched to a confirmed structure fire at an apartment complex in district 4. The first arriving Engine Company had heavy fire showing from the balcony areas of all three floors of one apartment building. The department rescued a victim from the third floor and one from the first floor, along with several animals. Three firefighters sustained minor injuries.
