The home of a Sunflower, Mississippi firefighter suffered heavy damage Friday night when a fire swept through the Railroad Avenue residence.

The fire, reported at 10:05pm, appears to have started in the living room of the home. No one was at home when the fire started; they were visiting another firefighter's family around the block. Investigators are still determining the actual cause of the blaze, but do not suspect arson at the time of this writing.

Firefighters from District 4-Sunflower, District 3-Moorhead, and county Battalion 1 responded to the fire, and remained onscene for about an hour and 45 minutes.
