1st Alarm PATERSON NJ
A fire in the Hitchin Post Go Go Bar caused heavy damage to the interior of the building as Companies contained the fire to a first alarm. The blaze was reported at 0345 hrs and Engine Companies responding were Engines 6, 3, 7, 1 Ladders 1 and 3 Squad 1 Battalion 1 Deputy 1 and Safety Officer Battalion 3. Companies made a aggressive attack to control the blaze and keep it to a single alarm. Heavy smoke and fire was reported by the first arriving compannies. The blaze was bbrought under control in about 50 minutes. The Combustibles Division is investigating the fire.
Earlier in the day Engine 3 and Ladder 1 were summoned to Elmwood Park to cover empty Fire Stations while Elmwood Park battled a 5 alarm fire at the Cambria Truck dealership on Rt. 46.
