Sullivan County, Pa firemen from stations 50,57, and 58 were dispatched to Dutch Mt. Road in Colley Twp. for a Chimney/partition fire. Fire was contained to the chimney, that was completely blocked with soot from the cellar to three feet from the roof area. The chimney was cleared by the volunteers with a heavy chain, and plaster hooks. If this were to have a moral to it, it was said that people should clean their chimneys once a year, not once a decade!
***This does not reflect upon those members of the Sullivan County Fire Dept.
