Sunday May 28th, 2000 05:43 Single car MVA, three occupants, all female in their early 20's. The driver apparently fell asleep at the wheel as she was northbound on William Floyd Parkway. The vehicle, a late model 4-door GMC Jimmy, left the roadway and struck multiple trees on the passenger side, ripping the front and rear passenger doors and the B-Post in one piece, with the setbelt still attached to the front seat passenger. Both passengers were killed. The driver who was the sister of one of the dead and the best friend of the other, escaped with relatively minor injuries. Alcohol was NOT a factor in this unfortunate accident.
