A two story brick home with 2 additional apartments connected to the structure was struck by lightning. Arriving units found fire through the roof over half of the structure and an extensive attic fire. There was an excellent stop by the interior crews and the fire damage was limited to the roof/attic and to two rooms on the second floor. Water and smoke damage was experienced throughtout the structure.
7 companies responded a total of 6 engines, 4 tankers, 1 aerial, 3 ambulances and 4 support/chief units. A second alarm was sounded for additional tankers due to the rural, un hydranted area.
This was the fourth strcuture response of the night during the storms for the first alarm units.
