At around 23:00 hrs on June 16, the Williamsport Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched on a large fire beside a propane gas cylinder. E21 and Trk 2 arrived on the scene reporting a large fire beside a 3,000 gallon industrial propane container. A sever storm had passed through the area with severe lighting strikes. One of those strikes hit the propane regulation box which was forty feet away from the cylinder. Trk 2 positioned it's arial and cooled the fire and tank at the same time. the gas was shut off within the first ten minutes of the call. within 2 hours all units were cleared. The tank belonged to the EPS corporation which makes flammable resin from paint products. Units responding were Engines 21 23 261 262 121 Trucks 2 and 26.
