The 15 story CCP apartment towers were imploded during the early morning. Engine Co. 4 and Ladder 2 along with Battalion 3 had to be relocated during the implosion because of the close proximity to the towers. The detination went on schedule and two 15 story towers were to the ground in seconds. A large dust cloud erupted but the detination went as scheduled and there were no reported problems. Passaic Valley Water Co. was on stand-by in case of any problems along with Engines 4 and 7 and Ladder 2. A 42 inch main ran alongside the towers and Passaic Valley Water was concerned about that but also had no reported incident.
