Jersey City, NJ (Hudson)At 0502hrs FDJC Fire Dispatch transmitted signal station 636 for a fire reported 146 Union street. Upon leaving quarters Eng 8 reported "We have a smoke condition in the area", Eng 8 arrived to find a 2 1/2 sty fr with a simular attached on the exposure 4 side, heavy fire in the first floor. Battalion 4 arrived and assessed the situation and requested a 2nd alarm @ 0509hrs as fire had engulfed both structures. This was again a extremely hard fire to fight due to massive electrical wires that connected from the both fire buildings, making a exterior attack almost impossible. The interior attack was excellent. Dep 1 request an additional 2 Engs & 2 Trks before the fire was place under control. 2 Firemen were treated with minor neck injuries and smoke inhilation .
