Cecil County, Maryland; Box 1400:
At 0506 hours on Saturday, August 26, 2000, the Cecil County Fire Headqaurters alerted the Singerly Fire Company of Elkton (Stations 3, 13, & 14)and the North East Fire Company (Station 4) for a working house fire at 21 Holly Oak Drive in the Woodland Hills section of Leeds, Maryland. Assistant Chief 384 arrived at 0512 hours advising fire showing from a 2.5 story single family dwelling. Command 14 requested and a tanker from West Grove (Chester County, PA-Station 22). The Community Fire Company of Rising Sun (Stations 8 & 18) and Volunteer Fire Company #1 of Chesapeake City (Station 2) responded to the scene with one engine each. The fire was placed under control at 0602 hours. Refreshments and Rehab were provided by Dispatchers from Cecil County Fire Headquarters, who were just coming off duty.
Units reponding: Engine 311, Engine 312, Enigne313, Truck 361, Rescue 371, Tanker 321, Ambulance 392, Engine 411, Engine 814, Engine 211, Engine 12, Tanker 22. Engine 7-4 (Newark, Delaware) and Engine 813 (Rising Sun) provided coverage at Station 13.
