    Post Durham NC House Fire

Right at shift change at 0700 on Saturday 11/11/00, Durham Firefighters were called to a possible house fire. First due E-3 found a single story structure with heavy fire showing. An occupant had dove through the window to escape the fire prior to their arrival and suffered from smoke inhalation, burns, and cuts from the glass. The fire gutted three rooms of the house, and the rest of the house sustained heavy damage. The following units responded on the box:
    E-3 (first due), E-8, E-1, L-1, L-2, SQ-1, Btn. 2, Mobile Support 1, Safety Officer and Durham EMS Paramedics.
