Upon arrival Engine Co. 3 found the house fully involved in fire. After a Quick knockdown by the Engine Company a search was made by Truck 1 and a female rsident in her 80's was found in the bathroom unconscious and in Cardiac Arrest. The firefighters removed her to the front lawn and CPR was started by the rescuing firefighters. The victim was handed over to the Commack Vol. Ambulance Corps. and was transported to St. Catherine of Siena Hospital in Smithtown. While enroute to the Hospital her pulse had returned. After a short stay @ St. Catherine she was transported to University Hospital @ Stony Brook. She succumbed to her injuries a short while later.
The home was a single family ranch style dwelling. Mutual aid was given by the fire departments from Kings Park, E. Northport and Smithtown. At this time the fire is under investigation by the Suffolk County Police Department's Arson Squad
