On 3/30/01 at approx. 2030 hrs. the Apex Volunteer and Town of Apex Fire Depts. were dispatched to a Charlie's Way address for a structure fire with a subject trapped.Upon E-1's arrival,they found a badly burned female who had been removed by a neighbor from a mobile home that was 75% involved.The ptnt. was quickly transported to UNC Hospital where she remains in critical cond.E-1 put one line into operation thru a rear entrance of the structure while E-3's crew stretched a line to the right side of the structure.An aggressive search revelaled no other victims inside.L-1 & R-1 crews assisted with venting and overhaul.Fire is still under investigation.Units on the alarm:E1,E3,L1,R1,Tankers 6&8, and a M/A engine from Morrisville.
