Amesbury 8/9 Alarm Equivalent
Extensive mutual aid from two states was required to bring a stubborn building fire undercontrol in downtown Amesbury that began around 330 PM. Mutual aid was recived from as Far away as Salem New Hampshire for station coverage. Approximately 20 towns provided mutual aid to Amesbury. The building was a large 4 store front with two additional floors of residential/office space above. Exposure four was a church that was less than 8 feet away from the fire building. Very minor damage smoke and water were received in the church. Crew were expected to remain on the scene through out the night.
