On Friday, June 8 at approx 2330 hrs, the Bellefonte Fire Department, Pleasant Gap Fire Company and Bellefonte EMS were dispatched to a building fire at Cerro Metals. Follow-up call while units were responding advised of a fork-life on fire inside the building.
The first arriving engine observed the fork-lift on fire with sprinklers flowing. Three sprinklers activated containing the fire to the area of origin. The engine company extinguished the remaining fire, removed the leaking propane cylinder, and vented the buidling.
Damage was limited to the fork-lift, an estimate of damage or worth is not available.
