Units from Prince William County, Manassas Park, Manassas City, and Fairfax County for hours at a 2 alarm occupied multiple dwelling. Arriving units found fire showing from two floors with extension into the cockloft. Information received indicated that multiple people were trapped. Off Duty career firefighter (Loudoun County)Chris Gay effected 3 rescues which included a baby from the second floor. FF Gay sustained 1st and 2nd degree burns to his face and arms while conducting this heroic act.
Units operated for hours to extinguish the fire which is still currently under investigation by local authorities and the ATF.
There were no reported citizen injuries or fatalities.
