    Default CHICKEN HOUSE FIRE! Moulton,Alabama

On Friday Sept.28,at 14:15 hours, the Moulton Fire Dept. assisted tha Hatton Fire Dept. on a fully involved Chicken House Fire. The house was 145 feet by 65 feet and contained over 25,000 broliers. All the chickens were lost in the fire .The scene was cleared at 15:45 hours. Units responding from MFD: Engine 14,and 15.
P.S. If your dept. has not ever fought a chicken house fire, cosider yourselves lucky. Not much can smell worse than burning chickens.

We had a pig farm fire a few years ago. Lost a couple hundred pigs. The lady that owned the farm made sandwitches for the firefighters as we were there all night. You guessed it HAM. there were no takers! [any one got peanut butter & jelly]
