On OCt. 14, 2001 around 4:00 pm the Norrisville VFC (Harford county station 10) was alerted to respond a Brush unit into York County for a woods fire. Brush 10 arrived to find 3-5 acres of woods and brush on fire about 1-2 miles into the woods where only bruch units were able to access. Several firefighters including the Pennsylvania wildland fire crew were on scene to help control the fire. A total of around 75-100 firefighters were on scene and it took about 7 hours to control the blaze. The cause of the fire is not known.
