These fires occurred in Reading over the past few weeks.....
----101401: 2155 hours box 212, 11th & Cotton streets, AOF 511&1/2 Maple street. 2&1/2 story M.O.R. dwelling, heavy fire showing 1st floor & out the rear extending to exposures 2 & 4 (similar attached). 2nd alarm struck at 2201 hours with the fire under control at 2336. Two firefighters treated for minor injuries in fire which was ruled suspicious. Companies assigned: 1st alarm: E13,5,1,Sn1,L1,R1,M-2, C-4 & 8, E3(safety company).2nd alarm: E14,11,M-3, C-1 & 9
----102801: 1231 hours box 41, 10th & Penn streets, AOF 37 N. 9th street. 3 story vacant M.O.R. mixed occupancy (apartments above commercial) fire on 1st floor woth extremely heavy smoke condition. Under control time was 1258 with fire ruled arson. Companies assigned: E1,13,3,Sn1,L1,R1,M-2, C-3 & 6, E5(safety company)
----same date: 1906 hours box 49, 12th & Buttonwood streets. AOF 1026 Buttonwood street. 2&1/2 story E.O.R. apartment building, heavy fire showing 1st floor. One firefighter treated for minor injury in fire which was ruled suspicious and under control at 1932. Companies assigned: E1,13,12,L3,Sn1,R1,M-2, C-5 & 7, E3(safety company)
----103001: 0236 hours box 521, 10th & Robeson streets, AOF rear of 1152 Mulberry street. Companies arrived to find a small fire in a 1 story frame garage which was handled with 1 engine & 1 ladder, however 2 other fires discovered in the immediate area and handled by other box alarm companies responding in---fully involved autos in the 1200 block of Locust street and 1200 block of Moss street.All fires termed suspicious and appear related. All placed under control by 0250 hours. Companies assigned: E12,11,8,L3,R1,M-4, C-5 & 7, E13(safety company)
