On sunday Nov. 11, 2001 the Norrisville VFC (harford county 10) was alerted for a woods fire at 3:30 am in the area of Amoss Rd and Amoss Mill RD. Chief 10-1 arrived with a large working fire. The fire burnt about 1.5 acres and was up hill which caused problems for firefighters. Units battled the blaze about 3 hours before it was under control.
