I spoke to the folks at Fire Research, Inc. (makers of Mansaver bars, among many other things) late last week and found out that they have discontinued their custom fabrication lines, including the "Guardian Gate" jump seat gates. For those who don't know, these were the full 40" (or more) gates that could be customized to fit jump seat openings to significantly reduce the chances of personnel falling from the jump seats under normal operations. Fire Research still makes the Mansaver bars and an Aerial Bar with more coverage, but nothing with the full coverage of the gates.
I have looked around, but found no substitutes as yet. Does anyone know of a manufacturer with a similar product?

If you have a vocational/technical high school in your area, why not approach them to build something similar for you? It's a win -win situation....The students get to design and build them, you get them and you expose more people to your Department!
Take care and be safe...Lt. Gonzo
