Our department is in the starting stages of designing our new engine. It's going to be replacing a 1980 Oren Duplex. The only problem we have right now is a height restriction (door in open position is 9'-7").
I'm looking to hear from anyone if they have used a glider kit recently instead of purchasing a new engine. What if any problems have you had since placing it in service? Has it experienced any major mechanical problems? Who was the dealer you went to? Do they provide you with quick repair service? Were they able to deliver the apparatus roughly when indicated? Let me know.
Second question. Does anyone have any information on the Westerbeke generators that have a hydraulic pump on it for using with rescue tools?
Thanks again.
Bob

The Westerbeke unit you are looking for is called a XRT Combi Rescue Tool Power System.
You can contact Westerbeke @ 1-800-343-0480.
Make sure you do your homework on this system.
