I am currently working on a project to gather information on whether it is feasable or not to change to quints in our department. Any information or links to departments with similar info would be helpful. Thanks!

More departments are switching over to mostly quints. Check the post labeled Quints: do you have one, I need details. St Louis is the most notable, but there are plenty more doing it. Check out FDIC in Indy, there should be some good discussion regarding quints there. Be safe

jds81,
Seeing that you are from NC, I would suggest getting in contact with City of Richmond, VA.
Jack K. McElfish, Chief
501 N. 9th Street, Room 131
Richmond, Virginia 23219
Telephone: 804-646-6663
Fax: 804-646-6671
(as fouond on http://www.ci.richmond.va.us)
since they have also adopted the "Total Quint Concept" and I think they might be a little closer for you to actually visit than St. Louie
Also - if you can get intouch with a fellow forum member Quint1Medic - She is a FF w/ City of RIchmond and she may also be able to assist you.
Good luck in your search.
