This is an engine from a station in my town. It's an American LaFrance. I believe it's late 80's early 90's. Does anyone know what years this model was made? Or what model it is?
Thanks,
Bryan

it is probably mid 80's at the latest. Is their a tag inside the door? Even custom rigs have a gvw tag in them.

If you know what fire co. is/was the original owner or as suggested get the serial number from the plate either on the door jam or on the side fire wall you can then go to www.americanlafrance.com/forums and ask your question. ALF will give you the history on this unit.

I believe that model was called the Century 2000. It was the last new cab from the old American LaFrance company before they went out of business and were reborn under the Daimler-Benz corporation.
Hope this helps.
By the way I thought it was about the best looking cab AlaF ever made.

Yes that it is a Century 2000. It was indeed the last premium ALF Custom chassis before being assimilated. I believe ALF was located in Virginia by that time. I think they were produced from about 1987 to 1995

Correct, it is a Century 2000. I believe the time frame was around 1989 until the company went under again. Pittsburgh bought a few i believe. Be safe.

That is correct, Pittsburgh did buy 4 ALF 2000 Quints in 1992. They also bought 4 of the short lived version of the Patriot series pumpers in 1994.
