Has any one heard about two appartus builders merging in Wisconsin?

Although maybe old news, Oskosh Truck Corp., which made their own line of fire apparatus chassis and noted for airport crash trucks, aquired Pierce Manufacturing several years ago, which in turn recently acquired Medtec ambulance and it's sister company American Fire/Rescue of Goshen, Indiana.

3D Fire Apparatus of Shawano, WI is now part of the American LaFrance group.

That's all I know, unless something more recent has developed.

do you mean pierce and seagrave they are the only ones i know about in wisconson. I Know nothing about them merging

ladderman--Marion is also a Wisconsin builder.

There are many builders here in Wisconsin:

Pierce<br />Seagrave<br />Alf/ 3-D<br />Marion<br />Custom Fire<br />US tanker<br />Welch<br />Monroe<br />J&B Fabricating<br />Stock Manufacturing ( builder of the newton dump)

plus other smaller local shops

IF something was happening ( havent seen any thing on the news only what I have seen on this Forum) I would guess Marion/Seagrave would be a good fit.

A Marion/Seagrave combo would be interesting if it happened. If this is the Marion Body Works that builds cabs for many Companies, Spartan for one, and maybe E-One. John
