Silent Auction To Benefit Fallen Firefighter

On December 18th, 1999 Chesterfield County, VA. volunteer firefighter Bradley McNeer was tragically killed in an apparatus accident while responding to a call for service. In cooperation with his family and in honor of his memory the Brad McNeer Memorial Scholarship Fund has been established to provide educational resources for those choosing a career in the fire and EMS professions.

To raise money for the fund, Chesterfield Fire and EMS conducted a silent auction in conjunction with the first annual Brad McNeer Memorial Golf Tournament that was held at the Highlands Golfing Club on September 7th, 2000. The tournament and auction were a great success with over $50,000 being raised during the event.

For those that bid on items, within the next week the website will be updated with the final bid amounts. The auction alone raised almost $16,000 of the total amount for the day. The address of the website is

Please keep the site bookmarked as this will be an annual event to raise money for this worthy cause. We sincerely thank everyone from the Fire and EMS services that participated.
