Does the Johnson Space Center and the Kennedy Space Center still have their own FDs or did they get cut and do they now rely on the Local Municipal Dept.?
The statements above are my own opinions

Last i knew, they still had their own fire departments. But you never know the way the federal government cuts.

If memory serves me correctly, NASA at Kennedy Space Center is protected by private firefighters, contracted by a company called EG & G Inc. which is a very large corporation. The NASA Space Flight Center at Wallops Island, Va is protected by private firefighters (Wackenhut maybe??) For those of you who dont know who Wackenhut is, it is a large security & safety company.
