To All Federal Fire Fighters:

Now that the disaster in New York has gone from a rescue to recovery effort, it is pretty much evident that there will be no more survivors found in the wreckage. This means that as many as 350 New York Fire Fighters have given their all.

This now presents a new and actually unique problem. There are too many funerals and memorial services happening, some simultaneously, and the resources for honoring our Brothers are stretched too thin.

With that in mind, I would like to put out this suggestion..... Those of us who wanted to assist at the WTC can at least show our support for those who will never come home by attending some of these services.

Any one in the local area can make it a day trip... those further away can maybe spend a few days and attend more than one. I know that travel is difficult today, yet it just seems like the right thing to do.

This is not to be confused with the eventual Memorial Service for all of the Fire Fighters. That date has not yet been set.
