At least it's not fire season yet:

San Jose firefighters battled another arson fire along the Coyote Creek on Tuesday, at least the 10th blaze to hit the area in eight days.

Like the others, the two-acre brush fire was ignited along the creek trail. So far, no injuries have resulted and no structures have been damaged by the fires, which have charred almost 50 acres, Capt. Greg Spence said.

Tuesday's fire was reported at 3:40 p.m. near Lone Bluff Way and Dakota Drive, north of Capitol Expressway. The fire was declared under control at 4:24 p.m. but not until it drew the equivalent of a two-alarm response from about 40 firefighters.
