Firefighter remains 'critical' after crash

A Boulder County firefighter who crashed his
tanker truck on his way to the Hi Meadows Fire remained in critical condition Wednesday.

Walter A. Cooper, 58, of Golden, was going to
Pine in Jefferson County Tuesday when he lost
control of his truck on a curve on Colorado 72 near Gross Dam Road, the Colorado State Patrol said. The truck rolled once, and Cooper was thrown out.
