Today I entered this part of Firehouse.com for the first time. Reading some of the points here I have replied with "my" opinion. The more I read though, the more I wonder about the training programs used by fire departments. So many of these issues are basic firefighting. I'm a strong advocate of using the past as a guide to the future. As well all know, it's all happened before, to someone, somewhere. How long is it before that someone is you or I or someone we work with? I find reading and showing fellow ff's who are not regular users of the net, incidents that have happened somewhere else. If you like, de-briefing an incident we never attended. The purpose is not to point fingers but to promote awareness. Not all of us have seen everything.
