So far this year,99,600 acres have burned-46,750 of them since Oct,30 in the mountainous eastern portion of the state.The fires most of which are being blamed on arsonist have blackened up to 13,000 acres a day in privately owned forests.U.S. Forest service is battling fire in the Daniel Boone National Forest including one which that injured Krs Evans ,30 of Quincy,Cailf.Evans is listed in serious condition at University of Kentucky Hospital after being struck by a tree near peabody.The tree broke his back,ribs,and clavicle and caused a lung injured.Our throughts are with Krs and his
family. Update Krs Evans Nov. 10th had surgery to remove bone chips from his spinal column and to repair his back.The consequences of this arson fire painfully shows.(Morehead News) Evans came in as a member of the Plumas Hot Shot Crew.Kentucky thanks you for your tireless nationwide effort.
