Condolences to Tarentum from one who has recently left Pennsylvania. My prayers are with you in this time of tragedy. My hope is that if there is a lesson to be learned from this, it may save more lives so that this loss will not be in vain.

I attended Mike's funeral and it was a beautiful tribute to a great guy. I know his whole family and this is certainly a great loss for them. Mike would be proud of his two boys, Mike Jr.,12, and Jared,10, who were comforting their mother, Grace Ann. My heart just aches for the pain his family feels, but they should be proud of such a courageous man. Mike and his family will be forever in my heart. Lisa Strobel

My thoughts are with the firefighter and family of Michael Sims. I have been a firefighter/EMT for two years in PA. This just shows you, you can never be prepared for the death of a fellow firefighter. Let's all be careful out there.
