As a former employee of NFPA and currently both clergy and PR Director of the Red Cross of SE Massachusetts, I have watched today's events with a very heavy heart. The thoughts and prayers of so many are with both the families and the brothers who stand and watch until final recovery can be made. God be with them all as they stand this vigil and may they find strength in the days ahead knowing their grief is shared.

heartfelt sympathies are with you. The entire community will mourn the loss
of these brave men who died as heroes. To say this is a tragedy is an

When a stone is dropped into a lake,
    it quickly dissapears from sight.
But its impact leaves behind a series of ripples that broaden across the water.

In the same way ... one life lived for Christ, leaves behind an impact in our hearts

The community of Worcester and the world pray for the family we have lost.

My Dad is a Retired Firefighter from Cambridge. I remeber the day in June of 1972 when he came home. It's been 27 years since I've seen that look on his face. I was to young then to understand it though.I now do. My Deepset sympathies go out to the families of the Fallen Firefighters.May they go with god.

When the alarm sounded you did not hesitate
You grabbed your bunkers and ran for the door
You hoped itís not to late.
You pulled up on scene and went strait in
    Searching for victims
    You showed no fear
Everything seemed to be under control
With no warning you were in trouble
The smoke got thick and flames started to roar
You hear the horns sound you must get out
    You keep searching for victims
With in seconds you could not find the door
Itís been to long your air was gone
    The smoke was too thick
    It came to the end
    You are all heros
Saint Florian was with you from the beginning to the end.

All of my thoughts and prayers go out to the Worcester Fire Dept, and too the familyís and friends of the six firefighters taken from the call of duty. My fallen six brothers for you have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Tragedy and grief have truly struck Worcester. I am sending my condolences to the families and friends of the missing firefighters, as well as the fellow firefighters of the WFD. As the daughter of a Worcester firefighter, I can only begin to imagine what these families are going through. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. May it be a little comfort to know that the six men were brave and died doing what they loved to do. They are real heroes.

the tears we cry go a long long way, they go to the six heros that gave their
lives in an effort to save others. why did it have to happen? why? well,
the only answer that i could come up with is they did it for you, for me and
for the love they have for their job. there will be many lonely days and
nights that these six heros pass in our thoughts. could any of us be so
brave? i would hope so. these six men died way to early in their lives to
save somebody, a person, a family....somebody that they thought might have
needed them. there are no words that myself or anybody else could say to
their parents, wives or their children that can make any of this easier on
them, but they will remember that the ones that got called upon are good men,
    decent men, caring men.

i close this only by saying god bless the families, god bless the men and
women who give their lives each and every day to save our loved ones.

children who lost their fathers. I cannot imagine anything worse than losing
your Dad. We pray that God's mercy will ease their pain.
