From the Emergency Response Team and Rapid Intervention Team at McCook Metals LLC our prayers and thoughts go to you, our brothers and sisters in Memphis.
To the families, a more senseless tragedy could never occur, to have a loved one taken from you, whilst doing for their fellow man more than anyone could ever know, our hopes that the pain eases with time, yet the memories of their choice, their passion, to serve their fellow man remain etched in the minds of everyone for evermore..
To our brothers and sisters who will show up for duty tomorrow, keeping our sacred promise to serve, protect, and prevent...Be safe, Be aware... You are all in our prayers

What can one say in the face of such senseless, meaningless anger and the taking of innocent lives?
Let's hold onto each other in these times.

I am a rookie firefighter with Escambia County Fire Rescue. My deepest sypathies go out to the families of our fallen brothers and brother in Blue. Those guys laid it all on the line and it was just Gods time for them. May God bless the families of the firefighters and the policeman. May God also watch over the little boy who has lost his mom. To ever firefighter out there be safe and remember that God is with all of us.

It was with great sadness that my family watched the unfolding news of today in Memphis. Several years ago we moved from that area to Northern Mississippi to what we thought a quieter life (it isn't thanks to the casino's). For many years I have had family on both the police and fire depts. It is a great tragedy to hear of this totally unnecessary loss of life, from people that are sent to help & to keep peace. God bless those that lost their lives today, and their families. This is truly a heartbreaking day.
Sincerely,
Shalon (Locastro) Parrott

Subject: An Officer Who is Angry
I want to send my deepest sorrows the families who have lost their love one.
I know and understand what they are feeling. I feel the most for the wives
who must tell their children today that their father will not be coming home
tonight or any other night. That their father is in heaven with God. It is
the hardest thing that I had to do. Until this past year I had no idea what
it was like to lose someone who you loved so dearly. Especially when they
are killed in the line of duty. My heart goes out to all the firemen in the
city who have lost a brother. I know the fire dept. is one family as is the
police dept. This city has lost too many
loyal protectors in the past few months. May God go with you through these
dark days ahead. These officers are in God's hand now and are looking down
on us to do our best. Prayer is what will get you through these days ahead.

I AM A MEMPHIS POLICE SGT. AND I HAD THE HONOR OF SHARING THE BUILDING THAT
HOUSED THE FIREMEN WITH THE POLICE COACT UNIT. IT FEELS VERY STRANGE TO HAVE
JUST JOKED WITH THE FALLEN LT. ONLY TWO SHORT WEEKS AGO AFTER I WAS PROMOTED
TO SGT. AND TELLING THE FIREMEN THAT I WAS BEING TRANSFERRED TO THE POLICE
HEADQUARTERS AND WOULDN'T BE SEEING THEM ON THEIR ROTATION. JUST TO BE ON THE
OTHER SIDE OF THE CITY AND HEARING OF THE SHOOTING ON MY RADIO AND THE DEPUTY
BEING SHOT ALSO, AND HAVING THAT EMPTY FEELING KNOWING THAT I COULD NOT BE
THERE TO HELP, KNOWING THAT THE FIRST PUMPER ON THE SCENE CAME FROM HOUSE #
55 THAT WAS SHARED WITH MY FORMER HICKORY HILL POLICE COAC UNIT. MY PRAYERS
GO OUT TO ALL FIREMEN AND POLICEMEN AND TO THIER FAMILIES......
SINCERLY:
