    Post LODD 5/15 - Training Accident Takes IL FF

    An Illinois firefighter with the Western Springs Fire Department died in a
    training accident Monday evening.

    Willard Christoffer, 54, a paid-on-call probationary firefighter with the
    department only six months, fell approximately 65 feet from an aerial ladder
    during department training taking place in a shopping center parking lot.

    I send my deepest regrets. I also send my condolences to the family, but as a training officer I have to have one question answered. Was the safety belt on?? When that is answered I will then send my smypathy to the dept. We all want to be Brothers and Sisters in the Fire Dept., lets take care of our Brothers and Sisters!

    The Western Springs Fire Dept. has my sincere condolences my god give each and everyone of you extra strength in this time of need. The Heavenly Fire Dept. must of had a promotion and needed another firefighter.
