Posted this on another forum earlier in the week. Had an idea to help the FDNY firefighters. Have the kids at your schools draw pictures of firemen or write an essay about what firemen mean to them. You could do it during fire prevention week. Then mail them to FDNY especially the houses that lost members.

I attend a Community College in Texas. Many of the people that I attend with know that my Dad's a firefighter and have asked what we as a school, and as individuals can do to help outside of the typical donations. I've suggested such things as cards and care packages to the stations that have lost brothers and sisters. Unfortunately I don't know where to send them. Could someone give me a little help here? Where would we send these? And do any of you have any suggestions? Thanks, God bless Amy

I'm working on getting some addresses or a single address to send the letters, pictures, etc to. Apparently, zip codes are a problem. Feel free to e-mail me. I'll post the addresses I get on here and on the Firefighters forum.

Nice to see the SpineBoards link on here.

I just wanted to mention that the Fallen Brothers Foundation, http://FallenBrothers.com , has shirts and hats for sale on the site.

ALL profits from the sales go to the widows. The foundation is run by my brother and I, both FDNY firefighters.

We will be trying to get all of the shirt designs that come available onto the site.

Right now, we've got two shirts and 1 hat, but there are more designs coming in the next week.

FallenBrothers.com was around before Sept. 11th, and will be there after, helping to raise money for the Brother's families.

In the past 2 years, we've been selling the shirts for the Worcester 6, and every FDNY shirt since Vinnie Fowler in June 1999.

We hope to have the 'older' shirts back online in a few weeks, because it's very important that we don't forget about our prior loss.

we don't want to spend any money on marketing, so we will need everyone's help to spread the word.

If you have any questions, PLEASE email me.

    Thanks,
    Brian
