Our department recently handled a complaint regarding lighters being sold in a small convience store. When we got to the store the manager showed us two lighters obviously tageted at children and they were not child resistant. I found because these lighters were refillable they are not required to be child resistant. Has anyone enacted local regulations prohibiting the sale of lighters that are not child resistant. Obviously the CPSC rulls have been circumvented by the manufaucturers.
