Date:12-5-01

Good evening. This is District 2 Fire Chief Gary Scott reporting on a 1-alarm fire, which occurred on 12-5-01 at 6:10pm. Fire companies were dispatched to a report of a building on fire at 23 Green Street, which is located in Over-the-Rhine.

Upon arrival, fire personnel confirmed a working fire in a 4-A brick residential. There was fire emitting out of several of the 4th floor front windows. Fire personnel initiated an aggressive interior attack. Fire lines were advanced up the interior stairwell. An additional fire line was advanced to the attic area. The estimated fire loss was set at $20,000. There were no injuries as a result of this incident. Smoke detectors were present in the building.
