Hello from North Central PA. This is a great site from which to learn, meet people, and share ideas. Our Department is volunteer and runs Fire/Rescue/EMS(Quick response service w/AED. We run 300-350 calls per year including EMS. We have just completed a busy month (35 runs including a mutual aid double fatal structure fire. We currently face many challenges with funding our department,recruiting and retaining members,call volumes are rising, etc. Fundraising is getting harder and harder to do and we are dependent upon it. We are looking into billing for our services as a means of funding. We are especially interested in trying to devise a way to bill for our QRS service which we believe is very important. We are simply looking to cover our equipment costs. Does anyone have any suggestions regarding these particular issues. If anyone has any suggestions or would like to chat, please post or email me.
