Exclamation SC Medic Needs Your Prayers and Support

This message was forwarded via e-mail today by our friend J.T. Bass.

A EMS provider in South Carolina -- a single mother with 4 kids -- has been diagnosed with terminal cancer.

We hope everyone who visits will be able to send Ms. Kearse a card. They are not asking for money or gifts...just morale support in the forms of cards, letters, etc.

    Thanks for your support,

I need some help from our SC EMS family. Barbara Kearse who has been an Intermediate for eleven years, with the Allendale County Rescue Squad was was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. She was given three months to a year, to live.

Barbara came home Tuesday, from University Hospital, in Augusta. Barbara is now under the care of Hospice.

Barbara is 45 years old, a single Mom with four children.

What I would like to ask is that our EMS family pray for her and if she could get mail it would cheer her up.

    Her address is:
    Barbara Kearse
    19 Butler Street
    Allendale, SC 29810

Barbara pulled her last shift on
Sunday June 13, 1999. That shift ended 6AM Monday the 14th and she was admitted to University later that morning.

Thanks for the e-mails everyone, but please send your messages via regular U.S. mail for this particular one.

We'll try to track down someone to forward the e-mails to her, but sending cards and letters via regular mail will probably work best for now. The address is listed in the initial posting.

    Thanks
