What does everyone think about the experimental chat room Firehouse is playing around with? I "think" you might be able to access it through www.firehouse.com/chat I have not been able to log on yet but I have already heard people talking about it. This is a good thing this chat stuff.
I recieved my notice through my email Firehouse.com daily news notification service. If you don't subscribe do it so you can get access.

I was in it yesterday on 7-26-99 for about 1/2 hour or so. I thought it was pretty cool. I talked with 6 or7 peaple from around the country. I've allways stayed away from chat rooms before but figured if it's in "firehouse.com" it can't be all bad. Now my wife will really tell me i'm on-line to much.

How funny Greg! My wife claims to be a computer widow Im on so much. I still have not been able to get on. Maybe you have some ideas. I know people are getting on because the forum is less active.

I was on again last night for well over an hour and I realy like it. Talked to a bunch of folks, many of whom I recognize from forum board posts. Love it so far.

Greg,
I found out that I can't get on because of our company's firewall software program that keeps people from going to porn sites. Well, it wont let us into chat sites either. But I get my new office and computer tommarrow so at lunch break maybe Ill sneak into the chats.
I would have thought tons of people would be on line 24-7 a week. My wife has to pull my fingers from the keyboard just to get me to leave work and go home where we don't have a computer.
Oh well,

I tried to get on tonight to the chat room and the page came up blank. It said; "Note: Over the next few months we will be trying out several new chat platforms, let us know what you think". It did nothing. I just had my computer fixxed so that I could by pass the firewall and get into the chats. Was the system just down or am I experiencing a different problem.
