16 years and still PROUD...

Today is my 16 year anniversary of becoming a Firefighter.Just a note to the "striving to become",it's worth the hard work.I've read many comments from inspiring young firefighters in these Firehouse forums,yes the road is hard to become a full timer,but battle on,it's worth the fight.After starting as a volunteer(both fire&EMS),sweating out a degree,going to school after school to build a resume,competing with sometimes 3000 people for a job,it was all worth it!
Keep the faith,work hard and be PROUD.
