    Post Poem!

My name is Bryan Gammill and I am a new forums member and I wrote a poem for a fallen firefighter here in Denver and I dont know whether I should submit it to the chief or not. Let me know what you think about it. Thanks

*In Loving Memory Of Robert Krump*

Itís a dream that you live as a child,
A man dressed up in his bunkers and his helmet,
Not knowing the risks but still loving a fireman,
For some that dream fades, and for others it continues,
Itís a dream that few find to become reality,
Itís a dream that takes whole person
The whole heart, soul, mind, and body,
They have a God given personality,
Every word for dispatch is from a stranger,
Stranger, friend, or family they want to help,
Never knowing the situation, but never caring,
Moving in so carefully, knowing the risks,
They know what has to be done,
Not knowing what lies ahead, but someone needs their help,
Theyíll give their life for yours, without a doubt,
    They become heroes to some,
One losing his life to a stranger, would only say ďI was doing my job,Ē
Itís a dream that might become a nightmare,
But itís a dream in its self to be a fireman!

That is a very touching peom that shows all the aspects of being a firefighter.I would give it to the chief or at least ask him.

I was wondering if you would let me post that poem with your name on my website for my dept.
If you would like to see it go to

    Good job
